Training & examination to become a Certified OT Security Technical Expert TÜV® (COSTE)
Level 2: Operational Technology Security training series
Course: ICS.211 Certified OT Security Technical Expert (COSTE)
Prerequisites: Completed training including certification as a “Certified OT Security Practitioner TÜV® (COSP)” from the TÜV AUSTRIA Academy or an equivalent course or at least 6 months of relevant professional experience averaging at least 20 hours per week.
Training & examination for Certified OT Security Manager TÜV® (COSM)

Prerequisites: Completed training including certification as a “Certified OT Security Practitioner TÜV® (COSP)” from the TÜV AUSTRIA Academy or an equivalent course or at least 6 months of relevant professional experience averaging at least 20 hours per week.
Certification details
Personal certifications are based on a partnership between Limes Security and TÜV AUSTRIA, an internationally active certification body for personal, product and system certifications. Accreditations and official authorizations form the basis for globally recognized certificates in accordance with ISO 17024. TÜV AUSTRIA personal certifications create trust and offer a clear advantage in the professional world.
Validity
The validity of your certificate is limited in time so that your knowledge is always up to date with the latest technical and content developments. TÜV AUSTRIA personal certifications for OT security are valid for <g id="gid_0">three years. </g>
Examination procedure
The OT-Security personal certification test is carried out <g id="gid_0">using examination software specially provided by TÜV AUSTRIA</g>. A photo ID and a camera are required for the online test. During the examination, 30 questions must be answered in single-choice mode within 60 minutes. The training material issued may be used during the test. After positive completion, the TÜV AUSTRIA personal certificate confirms that certain knowledge exists and thus can be applied and implemented. In the case of public and In-house training courses, certification attempts can be taken immediately after the last day of training.
Costs
The issuing of one certificate in one language is included in the certification fee.
Additional certificates, e.g. in English, are charged separately. Certificates in other languages can be issued on request. Each examination or examination part may be repeated once free of charge on one of the next examination dates, subject to availability. Extra dates will be charged extra.

Even if the digital badges are only digital image files, they are clearly linked to the data hosted on Credly. This link makes digital badges more secure than analog paper credentials. This link ensures that only you can use your badge and the identity associated with it.

When does the examination for a training course with persons certification take place?
The test is scheduled on the last day of training and takes place during training times.
How does the certification exam work?
The certification exam is conducted online and lasts a total of 60 minutes. During this time, you will be asked various single-choice questions. To pass the exam successfully, you must achieve at least 65% of the possible points.
The exam takes place entirely online, so you can take it from the comfort of your own home or another quiet location. Before starting the exam, you must hold a valid ID in front of the camera to confirm your identity. You will be allowed to access your documents and notes during the exam. Persons whose native language is not German may use a dictionary.
In which languages can the exam be taken?
The questions are asked in both German and English.
What happens if I don't pass the exam the first time?
Each examination may be repeated once free of charge on one of the next examination dates, subject to availability.
I have successfully passed the exam. When will I receive my certificate?
It usually takes two to three weeks for the certificate to reach you as a .pdf.
Can I have a second certificate?
The certification fee includes the issue of a certificate. Second certificates, e.g. in English, are charged separately.
